Jamy Houck

Jamy Owens Houck is a Director at ToneyKorf Partners, LLC, based in Charlotte. Jamy has more than 17 years of experience working with distressed companies both inside and outside of formal bankruptcy, including interim management in operations as well as financial advisory services to debtors, lenders, and other company stakeholders. Jamy has worked with clients across a range of industries, including healthcare, airline, telecommunications, retail, energy, and homebuilding.

Jamy specializes in assisting clients in analyzing and improving operational and financial performance, monitoring cash flows, developing and evaluating business and turnaround plans, and formulating successful restructuring strategies to enhance asset values for stakeholders.  As Director of Operations for ToneyKorf Partners, Jamy also leads the firm’s operations, including marketing, people experience, risk management, finance and accounting, and administrative operations.

Currently, Jamy is serving as Interim Director at an acute care community hospital where the ToneyKorf team assisted the organization in evaluating and implementing strategic options, including assisting in negotiations with a large regional healthcare system and various stakeholders, as well as leading the organization in its day-to-day operations while preparing for merger and integration into the acquiring system.  Post the transaction in June 2019, Jamy and the ToneyKorf team are winding down the legal entities, including the organization’s captive insurance company.

Previously Jamy worked at Brookdale Hospital and Medical Center as Director of Operations and Chief of Staff, where she worked alongside the Chief Executive Officer to help define the strategy for the organization, improve quality and safety of services, and stabilize the operations and finances.

Prior to joining ToneyKorf, Jamy was with Grant Thornton LLP and Mesirow Financial Consulting.

Jamy graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor and a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors.
