"Strong data and a deep understanding of a client’s challenges drives insight, but communication, engagement, and teamwork is how we build long-term, sustainable solutions."

Benjamin (“Ben”) Carver is a Vice President of ToneyKorf Partners, LLC. Ben has over 15 years of leadership experience at regional and community provider organizations with an emphasis on financial planning and analysis, strategic growth and capital planning, practice acquisition and integration, budgeting, and reimbursement and cost reporting.

Ben started his career in New York City, working at safety-net hospitals in financial planning and reimbursement roles. Ben worked at Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers in Manhattan through both Chapter 11 bankruptcies, and later with Lutheran Medical Center in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, which became an acquisition target for the NYU Langone health system. These experiences helped mold Ben’s philosophy that strong financial foundations are critical for allowing mission-driven, patient-centric care.

Prior to joining ToneyKorf, Ben spent ten years at Atrium Health in Charlotte, North Carolina, leading strategic growth initiatives and capital planning for their 3,000+ provider medical group, including development and programming for new practices and medical office buildings, independent practice acquisitions, and ASC growth, among other FP&A activities. Ben was also highly engaged on integration efforts following the acquisition of two health systems in Georgia and the combination with the Wake Forest Baptist academic medical center.

Ben holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Poole College of Management at North Carolina State University, and a Master of Business Administration from the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University in New York City. He is a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Get to Know Ben

Giving back: Ben is an active member of the South Academy of International Languages Parent Teacher Student Organization, and served as Treasurer from 2020-2023. SAIL is a public magnet school in Charlotte, NC offering four language immersion programs for students in grades K-8. It is so impressive to me to see students as young as 6 and 7 conversing fluently with native speakers!

Hobbies: I consider myself a striving home chef. One of my favorite weekend activities is to find a new recipe, drag the kids to a specialty or ethnic market to track down new ingredients, and compel my family to try new flavors. I love that sometimes plans work out in fantastic ways, and sometimes it is a learning experience, but it is always exciting.

Where I’m from: I was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, and left to find my own path, which led me to two degrees, a rewarding career, and meeting my future wife. When it came time to start our own family, we wound up back in Charlotte, where we’ve rediscovered a wealth of natural beauty and a wonderful community.

They always send the A-team with a high level of trust and integrity.
