ToneyKorf Partners issued an insightful report on the grim financial outlook for hospitals and health systems caused by the COVID-19 crisis. The report further details the required changes the institutions must take now to survive this pandemic. These predictions are based upon our Pandemic Impact and Mitigation Strategy (PIMS) Model.

While appropriately focused on patient care during the past few months, hospitals and health systems have not been able to forecast the financial impact. Further, most hospitals have received supplemental funding that is covering up the pending financial crisis. Without dramatic changes AND additional funding, many organizations will fail.
